“Qualman [is] a data bloodhound who thinks graphically but writes plainly.” —US journalist Alan Guebert, April 2018.
Over the past 20 years, I have compiled a large collection of datasets on energy, food, industrial production, climate, and a wide range of economic, environmental, and social indicators. See my blog for examples. Graphs can convey, at a glance, ideas, trends, and correlations that would otherwise require paragraphs or pages to explain. I would be happy to research and prepare custom graphs upon request. I can do so efficiently and affordably.
For 14 years (1996-2010), I was the lead researcher for a national organization: the National Farmers Union, in Canada. Over that period and subsequently, I have researched and written hundreds of reports, magazine articles, book chapters, journal articles, and other pieces on agriculture, energy, food, land, the environment, climate change, and international trade. Please contact me to discuss conducting contract research in my areas of expertise.
